Visitors admire the legendary Mouawad Dragon Suite and Power of Unity Crown

On May 9, to mark the opening evening of the Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) 2022, Mouawad had the pleasure of hosting an unveiling event at 8pm for select media representatives and influencers. Led by Mouawad Fourth Generation Co-guardian Fred Mouawad and in the presence of Mr. Ali Hussain Alfardan, Vice Chairman of Alfardan Group and President of Alfardan Jewellery, the gathering experienced the incredible beauty of the legendary Mouawad Dragon Yellow and White Diamond Suite, as well as the stunning Mouawad Regina Emerald and Diamond Suite and the Mouawad Miss Universe Power of Unity Crown.

The Mouawad Dragon Suite, comprising a matching necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring, has earned world renown, with its centerpiece being the historic and unequaled 54.21 vivid yellow round brilliant Mouawad Dragon diamond – the largest diamond of its type ever graded by the Gemological Institute of America. The Mouawad Dragon Suite is set with a total of five brilliant fancy vivid and deep yellow diamonds against a scintillating backdrop of hundreds of brilliant white diamonds.

The Mouawad Regina Suite is a breathtaking set comprising a necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring, featuring an astonishing 90.34 carat of emeralds and 160.23 carat of diamonds. The suite’s crowning glory, literally and metaphorically, is the necklace, featuring 54.03 carat of octagonal vivid green Colombian emeralds haloed by 95.43 carat of brilliant white diamonds, which transforms into a crown.

The story behind the Mouawad Miss Universe Power of Unity Crown was highlighted in a special workshop event, titled From Concept to Creation, which took place on May 12 at the DJWE. This stunning crown is handcrafted from 18-karat gold and hand-set with more than 1,725 white diamonds, in addition to three distinctive golden canary diamonds. The crown’s centerpiece, a shield cut golden canary diamond weighing a magnificent 62.83 carat, and its harmony with the two golden canary diamonds that flank it, inspires the crown’s name, The Power of Unity. The crown, crafted for the Miss Universe titleholder, is a dazzling symbol of the power that is unleashed when we join hands across nations and work together as a force for good.

Throughout the DJWE, visitors were invited to admire Mouawad’s splendid range of extraordinary creations meticulously designed and crafted by the brand’s skilled team of experts. These include one-of-a-kind masterpieces and high jewelry handcrafted with the finest, most unique diamonds and coloured gemstones. Also on display were Mouawad’s boutique collections of iconic and glamorous jewelry crafted from 18K gold, platinum and set with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other colored gemstones, as well as Mouawad's luxury timepieces, which combine Swiss watchmaking traditions with the finest, most durable materials and sleek designs.
