The House of Mouawad welcomed VIP guests to celebrate their first European flagship boutique opening. Situated at the five-star luxury Peninsula Hotel, the new store represents a milestone in the brand’s illustrious history spanning more than a Century.

Alain Mouawad, 4th generation co-guardian and Anastasia Mouawad, 5th generation co-guardian greeted notable guests including Maya Williams, Siân Gabari and shared their honour in marking the brand’s London debut.

Also making its first appearance in London was the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse. Priced at US $3.8 million, the handbag was named the most valuable in the world by the Guinness World Records. The heart-shaped purse, handcrafted from 18-karat gold, incorporates 4,517 diamonds (105 yellow, 56 pink, and 4,356 colorless diamonds) with a total weight of 381.92 carat. 

Guests attending the elegant evening enjoyed music from a live violinist and a DJ set from Fiona Jane. High jewellery was a focal point of the night, where pieces that epitomised Mouawad’s unparalleled craftsmanship were on view. 

Elements of the brand’s Mediterranean roots were also on full display, transporting guests into the world of Mouawad. Olive-leaf tones, terracotta ochres, and a play of light and shadow evoked the warmth of the rising sun, creating a unique sense of luxury for all attendees.
