To create the Oceana diamond and sapphire suite, a team of expert designers and adept artisans united their knowledge and talent in an exhaustive creative process. From the initial designs, presented in the form of gouache drawings, to the development of the three-dimensional models and the production of the pieces, experts worked closely so that the creative spirit of the original sketches could be transformed into an exceptional work of art.

To create this enchanting ensemble, Mouawad designers drew inspiration from the ancient Greeks who believed in the power encapsulated within blue sapphires. The name itself comes from the Greek word Oceanus, which once referred to a Titan father of rivers and water nymphs. The quest was thus to bring to life a masterpiece that embodies such a marvelous vision through the art of workmanship and masterful jewelry design.

Evoking poetic harmony, each of the necklace, bracelet, earrings, and ring was handcrafted in 18-karat white gold, before being set with breathtaking Sri Lankan and Madagascan blue sapphires and colorless white diamonds.
